I am a buy-side analyst, based out of Sydney, Australia employed at a USD$50 bn+ dollar asset manager covering all-cap global equities. I take a pragmatic and generalist approach to investing;  and don't discriminate the schools of value or growth investing (isn't all investing, value investing 🤔). I search for ideas with compelling valuation arguments that can be unlocked through clear catalysts underappreciated by the market. The  generalist notion resonates with me as experience has taught its not necessary to be a specialist or "know it all" to make good investment decisions.   Generating solid returns or good stock-picking comes down to pinpointing 2-3 key drivers that really matter for the equity story.
